Yes …….. America wants the wit ans wisdom of the Punk for all eternity.   Like a seventeen hour automobile ride with the most obnoxious of companions America wants to become officially brain dead …… a confirmation of the way that got them there.

An eternal retinue of nonsense, waste, manipulation, daggers waits for us all.  Blathering megalomania, god awful put downs, latent threats, the character of slime ….. all to be spilled upon us so that we can fizzle and implode in deadened splendor.

Tough enough to not give in to hope over perception, street smarts, experience …. the biggest mystery of all.

There are tough, good, canny hardworking people who are happily supporting Mr. Punk.   They see in him promise, hope, toughness, anti status quo postures that are appealing.  They don’t mind a happy middle finger to the fatuousness of American politics.

Good.  Tough.  Hard working.  Canny.  Street smart folk.  That is the wonder of it.

These type of folk know a punk for a punk.  A user and manipulator for a user and manipulator.  A scammer for a scammer.  A sucker player for a sucker player.  A know nothing bluffer for what he is.  The strength of a punk still belongs to a punk.

The authoritarian personality is a cesspool to behold.

Mr. Punk, the authoritarian punk is very good at one important thing ………. the punk knows how to take and enforce authority in all of his political interactions with awed salt of the earth folk and honest sentient to be fair and oh so professional interviewers.

The punk is interested in that only when he interacts and that covers a multitude of sins.  Cede authority to the punk and you get the ignorance on parade that he offers.  Take it from him and he is a lost little puppy dependent on clarifying his clarifications and scrambling mightily to gain back an upper hand.

Take it from him and his loyal supporters have to actually play defense and feel some shame.  They lose the cover of the whip hand and the steel toed boot.

So Mr. Punk is an election cycle savant.  He gets away with this, that, the wall of punk’s invincibility.  He shines. he spins.  He sizzles.  How does he do it?  Why can’t we see it.  How does he do it?  Why can’t we see it. Oh my.  Oh my.  Oh my.

The base aims of the demagogues handbook …. the base aims of the strong man’s code ….the base aims of the drive to eternal power ……. the base songs of beating, fighting, diminishing, spitting, sneering, wheedling, breaking, owning, nullifying, trolling the depths of private hells …. all the poor consistent elements of the perky plays of the authoritarian soul ….. all to stem majestically from the following the premises of the authoritarian dream.  Keep eyes on the prize dear Punk.

Too simple an analysis for those who wish to be free and fair and not maligned for seeing what is there.  An authoritarian punk is an authoritarian punk.  So be the wings of the fates.
