Consensus drives the diminishment of present and future power grabs

There are not stakeholders in a functioning American political system.  For there to be stakeholders enough folk have to view government as an entity that mediates disputes, solves problems, looks to ensure a common good, keeps any private or public power in check.  These are viable options for societies that need consensus with a strong base of voters feeling fortunate in their lives and futures rather than having the need to desperately cling to opposite aims.

Winning disputes.  Finding advantage in problems.  Playing musical chairs with a creation of a scrambling caste system.  Vie continually for the fruits, benefits and slave labors of power.  These are stakeholders in a system that favors bare knuckle paths to power for any individual or group that can use that can maximize positions gained in the absence of any real checks and balances upon usurpation of control.  These are the stakeholders, players of the zero sum games.  Consensus drives the diminishment of present and future power grabs.

The market place rules.

It demands that education be cheap and perfunctory, a baby sitting service run by those who are there to make a profit.  It demands prisons be full so that those who run them can be there to make a profit.  It demands that police be few so that no money is wasted on the useless neighborhoods where crime may flourish.  There is no profit there.

It demands that politics be a game of those bought and sold and that with ownership goes privilege.  It demands that information and ideas be meted out freely and that eyeballs are made to be distracted and that societal discourse be a large game of constant cumbaya ….. lets salve the weary minds and bodies of the stuck, put upon wayfarers just trying to get through the night.  There is no power with them ….  to engage   give no profit.

Those who have access to the game have access to the game.  Those who have access to the game play for profit and position.  They play to keep the market place open for business …… skewed towards those who use it, enjoy it, deal with the realities of life, maximize their gains.

Humanity has no commonality.

Since there are no fixed points in human behavior, no grand scale of a march towards civilization, no well considered moral and legal and developmental sets of observations and propositions then all belief systems have equal value and all cultural norms are to be judged solely in the context of their own base parameters, parameters non inclusive of any wider heathen world, any greater poluted information, any greater corrupt experience, any rancid larger pond.

To judge not and be not judged happily becomes judge and be not judged, insulate and attack, attack other insulation and all non insulation.  Common values imply contamination and cries for cultural superiorities or inferiorities.  All cultures are honorable in all judgements and all examinations of all facets of life and all differences within and without. The paths towards the grand, good society run through the the abilities to establish base premises that exist in a vacuum.  The paths towards good relations with differing cultures calls for the acceptance of these vacuums and non examinations of same.

Pull the right strings and we get to celebrate ugly forever.

It must be that we have traversed time and century and have been revised by the ghosts of the great depression of the 1930’s.

The poor are left to their own devices with no devices to be had.

The schools are left to their own devises overlooked by those who hear no, see no, wish no professional to be involved in the education process.  Any idiot can teach.

The police are left to their own devises with lacking manpower, lacking training, lacking means of being able to relax and feel safe in light of real and perceived threats.  Might is a default plan.

Bridges, rails, roads serve only to bring transients from one place to another, to reinforce the unity of  the country as a whole.  Regions wish not to associate with others of lesser stripe.

Hope is a cynical word with anger and hate a growing currency loved and used by those who wish to maximize the opportunities given by power vacuums and desperate victims.  The free market of power acquisition.

Power goes where it will go.

The existence of a vibrant middle class tends to spread the points of access to power and to diminish the authoritarian strains of all factions primed and ready to go forward and commit their ideas of holy unity.

The ideas of a possible existence of a middle class serve a similar function.

The absence of any hope that such a thing as a middle class may be possible leave the fields open to all manners of saviors.

Policies may come and fail.  They may be non too bright and all too corrupt

But they must be open to  establishing the ideas of a sustained, broad based population.  Power in a democracy should look to find a home in the solid middle …. that which may form itself by accident and common interest, by luck and sustained prosperity, by a culture that calls such a thing good.  These were the gifts of a once upon a time.  These are not the gifts of now.  The ground beneath the feet of that dream or illusion is shifting and caving and the new paradigms may find these old tintypes quaint and sentimental.

Societies change and the puffed out chests of their soldiers may take pride in different things.

Corrupt is a facile master.

Since corruption is at the heart and soul of modern American politics it is good that we know this to be so.  This is simply the parallel to the basic corruption of modern everyday American life where might makes right and the best survivors are those who ar adept at best being able to screw whomever they so wish to screw and whomever they are so in a position to screw.  Hard knuckle politics, economics, social intercourse reflect well upon a society happily dancing in fractionalism, daintily pirouetting to the tunes of attack.  A society of many losers is bought off easiest by those able and willing to buy.

Power corrupts.  Absolute power corrupts absolutely.  We have no fools raging in the public forum.  They see the prize.  They smell the rosebuds.  The shimmy to the flutes of the divine melodies.  They seek the prizes of, the smells, the aromas of happily rancid power.  They then are saintly rewarded with the joys of corruption coming and going.

Corrupt is corrupt because it wishes to be, because it can, because it is what is … the currency of the realm …. there just coming out in public appearance slowly and more surely and with brighter lights and star power as the chumps think it serves them.  Corrupt is a facile master.

Man is a rabid beast. 

The authoritarian right.  The authoritarian left.  The authoritarian holies of all types and stripes.  The magisterial possessors of the word, the path, the right, the sun of being, the manna from heaven that springs.  All hearts and souls.

Man is a rabid beast.  He is strong, encroaching, feral, full of vim, encased with vigor.  Man is a rabid beast full of fire and ice, passion and pain, hatred and envy.  He kills well and he subjugates well his chosen subjects.  Man can own, can break, can kill, can demean, destroy, covet and whisper. Man is a rabid beast, with sword and message to support him as he sees fit.  The swords of sin, the messages of fire.

Man is a rabid authoritarian beast who can in wily ways find venues of convenience and necessity to use as channels for his lightening.  Laws and righteousness enforceable by the death of the soul, by cold barren death.  The equation.

The trends of history love to devolve into spectacle.

The world, the general ether, the general philosophy and sociology of now present in a world where the gut urges, the gut desires, the gut needs all proclaim and revel in the sacred hold of conscious and unconscious social darwinism

A flat, fractured, scared, ignorant world always loves to thump its chest and be enmeshed in the wily attractions of the feral beasts.  There is power and satisfaction there.  There is the culling of the heard there.  There is glory there in the fight for honor and virtue and myth and resentment and revenge.  Scarcity and lack of options are always such.  The stars of the feral are always thus.  The ones who can gain from the degradation are always ready.  The trends of history love to devolve into spectacle.
