The visceral.  The joy of applied interest and hatred.  The up yours and bye bye.  The way to wander the streets.  The way to maximization of function.  The imaginary uncle of all put upon slobs and hard working dolts.  The non corruptible forearm shiver.  The kissing of the ring.

We can ride these guys to greatness, fearlessness, intimidation, gain.  The power to annihilate.  To do, get, freeze.  The power to break, own, destroy.

Politics is like that.  The ultimate appeals are like that.

Aside from the fact that they all are God’s gift to public policy, power enhancement, ideological frameworks for laziness and intellectual weakness or disability, all parties involved, runners, spokespersons, hacks, flacks, smacked assigned toadies and tough persons are as swift as fifth grade idiot boys and sweet little poisonous little girls when it comes to the quip, the rejoinder, the attempted take down, the egoistic smacks, the adolescent leer.

If this is the age of numbing adolescent snark then we have certainly found our practitioners here there and anywhere you care. Look or not look.  These rancid folks of accomplishment are so admiringly underwhelming, trite, banal and embarrassing in their relic ridden little sick little food fights.  A good grinding little seventh grade schoolyard would laugh them silly and intimidate them greatly.  Tough ninth graders would have them for lunch.

The reflected glory of that merciless power

Tis a nice thing that our happy hordes of masters have their own little happy hordes of incipient masters.  In a sainted, scented, celebrated republican democracy, an inspiration to all the world, tis a nice thing for sainted, scented, celebrated representatives to be standard bearers and defenders of the faith whilst always and forever hard charging towards the celebrations of caste, caste systems, power, implementation of power, shadow governance, shell games, broken systems of once loved and anointed systems that are there to just then mock good intentions.   Tia a nice thing to enjoy.

Tis a nice thing to enjoy, watch, get excited about ….  the stages are set, the players are working, the plays are written, the stories ordained.  The dreams, the legends, the smoke, the mirrors, the lucid attempt to keep our democracy a democracy,to keep our democracy strong.

Laborers need not be beggars.  Power balances work in economic issues, in all exchanges of influence.

The over supply of warm bodies able to do basic labor is a condition simply reflective of carnal, Darwinian law.  Limited resources and circumstance require that paid labor be offered at the lowest price sustainable as that is the world.  Those with access to the control of labor are offering work they cannot do alone to those who are able to help them.  They have a claim on resource and function and wish to maximize efficiency.  They have created, enhanced, fell into positions that have allowed for the creation, movement, exercise of goods and services to a needful public.  There is achievement there.  There is a position of power there.  There is the bargaining position of the marketplace there.  With the individual laborer the power lies with those who offer the desire for use of labor unless he or she who offers to give labor gives an advantage in return.  Bargaining.

Interchangeable labor has no bargaining position save that of any inconvenience of replacement.  There is no protection other than what may possibly be legally enforced.

Unions, guilds etc are bargaining units, corporations of labor.  Power balances become existent.  Attempted equability in negotiation, circumstance may be put into the dynamic.  Power may skew from one side to the other as labor and or management each may vie to run  or ruin the game.

The urge to purge is primal and hated.  The good is a hated urge.  The drive is for living a sneer.

A touch of vile creates success

Politics is a noble profession filled with firm, strong, reasoned players who seek to maximize the potential of firm authority vested in the balancing of interests thrown against the wall and yapping and nipping at the posteriors of these honest and certain power seekers.

Belief systems come and go and anchor those many with the limited abilities to see beyond the sets of diminished world views that give them the sound sand boxes in which to play.  A good improvisor or script reader can perform well in the smartly honed paradigms that provide ideological, intellectual, demagogic cover.  Pick the right suit of clothes and dress up and be a world breaker.

Be bought or sold.  Be owned or not.  Be a deal maker, a pawn, an incipient genius.  The newly inspired wannabes can be of false passion, loud mouths, rhetorical parlor trick, authoritarian bent, human toxic waste.  The games draw the participants that see a home.  A touch of vile creates success.

Authoritarian is until it is not

Fascism was defeated, discredited.  Communism was imploded, discredited, by half.  Wars, a century, were in the service of damning the authoritarian monolith.  The core underpinnings of its grace was to have been eaten away by blood, sweat and tears. The rationals in a modern civilized world were to have no standing, no credence, no critical backing.  Enlightenment was coming.  Power was to be diffuse.

The authoritarian is.  It is the natural state against which the rest must grapple.  Order must be able to be maintained.  Laws must have a trust and an enforcement.  Competing interests must have access to the arenas of power.  Bread must not be the major issue.  Convenience, the major excuse.

Monolithic religion.  Monolithic states.  Two bit ideologues.  The rise is in the justifications or all.  These are acceptable things in the world.  The philosophies of life allow, encourage, demand them.  Power is also a desirable aim.  It is what the world runs upon. It is not an evil unto itself.  Strong figures are desirable in a tough world.

In moderation there is just boredom.

Boils get lanced.  Poison comes out.  Infections can get better.  Or reinfected….. The confederate flag.  Immigration.  Guns …. not likely.  Health care.  Gay marriage.  Wage inequality.

Thesis.  Antithesis.  Synthesis.  We move forward in an enlightened way.  Society grows.  Paradigms shift.  Blowhards lose steam.  We move on to other divisions.  The power to bring thesis, to bring antithesis …. these are matched bags so that nature can take its course.  Balancing forces protects from being overrun …. gives preparation to move when the openings come.

Power.  Passion.  Pain.  Participation.  Force benefits from the elements of motivation, will, aggression, hatred.  All major issues are happy little wars just waiting for demigods, mobs, recalcitrants, soldiers of the lord.  Action. Reaction.  peace or war.

Some battles get won.  Some get lost.  Structural fissures, fractures are there always to be exploited until they’re not.  The ones who wish to recognize and take advantage of the divisions in a cohesive, structural whole of a system can break it down, see how it works and do so.   It is not hard to opt for the seeking and preservation of power over the preservation of a system.  Power beats compromise and shared power.  Power beats the rules that make broad based power easier.  Power is good for gaming systems, people.  Power is good for leveraging divisions as well.  And for crushing dissent.  Power may also help open fissures by creating eternal oppositions.  Into these breeches go those who have no loyalty to the whole.  Systems rot from within easily.

The flyers who do not enjoy a loyalty to the whole wish to make it, break it. rot it let it linger.  Death fast or slow is a desire.
