The general paradigm, ethos, scent, push and pull of guns …. armed protection from vile government and usurping government …… the radical transformative shift in the last many years or so …… guns are not about guns …. guns are about militia, anti government, anti authority, pro freedom, pro the freedom to honor ones whims. Guns define / are freedom. Guns define / are liberty. Guns define / are personal freedom, the ability to challenge power, the poster child of threat, nullification, intimidation, diminishment. Freedom to intimidate is a cherished right. Safety, pain, freedom from intimidation … these are not the stuff of the culture.
The sacred gun is the symbol of liberty and honor and strength and force …. things not easily obtained, not easily given up, means and methods to be a law unto oneself.
Steeped in the shiny general paradigm of the gun, of the gun as god, of challenge to this deity as blasphemy, as moderation being a path to hell …. love such deity …. love it, lean towards it, bow to it …. the world definer.

The walls of everyday life don’t change so easily.
