The cover to kill

It is assumed that everyone loves and admires the doctors’ oath of “do no harm” and the attendant philosophies of life involved.

It is assumed that everyone loves and admires the sound epoch of grandeur that is brought to fore by public and private actors who know harm when they see it and who know responsibility to behave well when it is thrust upon them.

It is assumed that everyone loves and admires good works and cultural magnificence, a society with standards of positive achievement, a world of straw spun to gold.  Our public stars offer us this service.  They present  fairy tale and definition … the philosophies, the philosophers, the death of reason, the rise of faith, the mountains of distinguished thought and soul searching excess.

It is assumed that everyone loves and admires the heathens who reform, the devils who sprout wings, the dragon slayers who win.

“To live and do well” is a pretense for weak thinkers or selfless floggers who are socialistic, fascistic, vain, self righteous.  They are the enemy.  It is only through the competing interests of me that the system can function and that one can get the cover to kill.

Listen to them talk and reason, sing fling and and warble their arias of divine intervention.  Squeeze the freedom of movement out of the equations of action.Be the devil wrangler.

Be iconic and do no harm.

Never compromise on sacred principle

How principled are the principled?  How noble are the noble warriors?  How dull are the droll?

How much cynicism, hypocrisy, hurt and and soul owning are thrown away in pursuit of the purities of vision, the swords of conflict?

How much cover does the appeal to conscience give to the totalitarians amongst us who see nothing ignoble in the totalitarianism they seek?

The last century was supposed to be a violent referendum on the totalitarian world view, the authoritarian personality.

History is for suckers.  Totality is for the death of the mind.  That is the sound principle for today.  Our flag.  Cheers.

The intoxicating sea of void

In the general culture it is quite hard to aspire to those top rungs of achievement in which ones dreams are met and ones follies are taken off of the table and forgotten due to the mastery of skills acquired.

Years of labor and self denial are required in order to shape oneself in the image of fate and rocket towards immortality by way of the presentation of the perfect marriage of the divine and the sordid, the visceral and the ephemeral, the notable and the mundane.

Public personas come and go and the shining lights of force, awe, manipulation, drive, sensitivity, pain all emanate well from the class of achievers who define the public conversions, conversations.

The templates are hard to come by.  The rages of purity hard to achieve.  Respect is hard fought for and auras of respect drive the chase for excellence.

It is the grand respect for, embrace of, mythification of the dumb and the lewd, the loud and the diffident, the passionate drones and the deniers, debunkers of rational thought or critical examination that champions the aspirations of those who seek to be worthy.

Tis the new age of yellowing gold.  The perfect vessels of standing and hierarchy are those who worm their ways into the forms of the dead adrift upon the sea of void.

Courage

Why do we think that all of our political lovelies really have any real and scaly luminescent skin in the games of money and money, fiscal policy, lose and be gone?

Why do we think that all of our political lovelies are actually at the mercy of the events that they can control when, in the end, they have the satisfactions of martyrdom, cynicism, love filled ranting, power plays, owning, breaking, killing and sleazing?

Why do we think that all of our political lovelies are true of spirit, staunch of character, out to repel all forces of floggers and hurters, intimidators and owners.  Hurt is not their the best motivator.  They play not on a different plane than yous and me.

Prime the pumps of argument.  Bale on the rhetoric of whining.  Hail to the forces of damning intimidation.  Send in our troops with the courage of your own convictions.

All hail the troops brave and true.  Our spineful masters match their courage in their own little worlds.

Eternal Adolescence

So the aging boomers were the vanguard of the world of eternal adolescence.  So the template for the culture of fraternity party and dead heads was forged long ago and far away.  So the spoiled brats of privilege and entitlement and tantrum and nattering have come down through our times with the winds of smirk and the fires of self satisfaction.  So and so and so.

So the charmers who govern and the charmers who speak to govern are the left hands of the gods of the banal.  So the rompers who act and act and act love the show, the fire, the false indignation, the parties and the celebrations and war rooms of the three o’clock bundlers with over worked college boys and girls feeling their oats and becoming kings and queens of the world.  So and so.  What else is there?

If children can’t be children then their maturity and growth might be threatened.  God forbid we should threaten the maturity and growth of our governing hordes.  Better to let them send notes in homeroom and smirk in packs of overcompensating preeners.

Government by adolescent.  Anyone can play.

The new normal. We have come oh so far

Have a job?  The luck of the lord is with you.  Need a job?  May your ship come in.

It is the new normal.  Be thankful for what you got.  Be hopeful for what you may receive.  Be happy to be a wage slave rather than an attenuated bum who is a drag on the public trough.  Have stature.  Have self respect.  Be happy that master is there to allow you to till the soil and rake the leaves.  You can live in a rat hole rather than smolder on the street.  Unions just ruin the master…. take away his ability to make wages a barely necessary ingredient to profit….let the worker get fat … raid the place in the name of efficiency and let the workers earnings and pensions and needs pay the bill …. efficiency with a smile …. I wish I could do that.

People are begging for work….. Give it to them and let them love you.  You have the ace in the hole … Smile and cherish your power … Power is to be maximized …. giving anything over minimum necessities for business survival is and act of largess.

Work for the honor of it … The new normal…. Know it to be the song of the times.  We have come oh so far.

Who are they gonna hurt?

Since a democracy just moderates the tendencies of the mob or the tendencies of the hands that whip the mob it is necessary to coddle it in order to alleviate the grand power struggles that would ensue in the efforts to take its place.

The tentative bridge too far for the seekers of wisdom and truth, hegemony and silver bells, that of power balance and the lack of the general means to quell all resistance points towards keeping the framework of the sanctity of the people and moving towards playing in games where the framework that protects them and all within are just a sideshow, an appendage, a mocking bird in the games of happy influence and freedom from personal restraint.

The laws that matter are the laws that touch.  The tough bastards go to places where they can’t be touched and they use the losers all that they find here, there and everywhere.

Survival is tantamount for those in the snow orb of us.  Let the architects of parity and public good go about their business and play out the string with the least amount of personal pain.  Let them be good actors seeking the common good.  Who are they gonna hurt?

The killers never go away.  They just hide until they can manipulate events and things so that they can be the eternal enforcers.  Sainthood and hatred are very good fuel for working this out.

Killers probe and probe and probe and probe … a constant technological, digital, emotional, fear smelling assault, probe.  There are always ways in.  There are always ways out.  There are always happy little damned suckers and flighty little dancers.  There are always those in the good grace of God.

Never see moderation through the hazes of hope, logic and exhaustion.  Wishing on a star is nice but disappointing.  Jam it if you want it.
