Tis reason we celebrate. Tis reason we say that is the last best sprinkle upon the march of progress towards Renaissance, towards the modern age, towards the ages of enlightenment…the most facile wedge against the ages of enslavement.

Tis reason we cherish…. reason we fondle and revere, lay claim to as we stand up for the right to be seen and heard in a universe of chaos.

Tis reason towards which we run when obstacles are great and challenges insurmountable. Tis reason, the backbone of the way of life, the ways of being, the ways of interpreting the world.

The analytical mind is a fearsome tool. A driving thing. The analytical mind is a weapon, a defense, a banner waving in the swirling winds of intemperance and intolerance. The analytical mind is a fearsome tool.

Reason is America. Reason is the grand growth of capital, of freedom, the sweat of labor, the standby of the informed and well practiced. The weak minded and sullied hearted run around and around and up in the trees so that they may be tall enough, hearty enough, vibrant and mendacious enough to sacrifice their souls and risk the ruination of civilization and the progressing engines therein by seeking the rapturous evils of the choices to be made by the comforting of the afflicted….the afflicting of the comfortable.

It is the refuge of small minds and weak wills, the fall back positions of stroke and pet, stoke and cry, affirm and embrace the predatory nature of success and the rewards taken thereby.

Success is a maker of men, a rough cauldron for the human spirit, a blueprint for growth and reward, plenty and refuge, peace and calm. Success is a championed thing, an honored thing, a ribald thing, a cherished thing.

Affliction, the afflictions of want and need, of no strength, no will, no means of survival, these are the stuff of the cruel natures of a cruel natural world. Those afflicted with acres of nothing and fields full of empty are those left to the devices of the human tragedies and the human march towards a destiny ordained by the battering, ramming circumstance of strength and position, gale and windstorm. Attacks upon those of poise and sustenance can only mean a flattening of the sustaining things and a lessening of the aggressive charges towards work and growth.

It is for the wise to nurture the wills of the workers and not give fields to plow to those who cannot move.

All playing fields are even. All those who are without start that way and wish and know no better.

If I couldn’t hate viscerally what that rotten son of an other guy stood for there’d be no reason what so ever to pay attention to politics.

If I couldn’t see that that rotten son of an other guy was a tool of Death, the Devil, the muck of the swamp then there would be no light in my life.

If I couldn’t be blissfully ignorant in my understandings of the world, completely uninformed about the realities of opposing positions, completely in the thrall of the drunk and blood drinking message makers and their professional baiters, haters and jive crackers then I would not be able to eat or drink or think or speak in semi coherent sentences or imitations of mutterances.

If I couldn’t be sure that wild eyed socialists and anarchists were under every rock or flower or that demon fat and proud of it raging killer capitalists were behind my failure to be prom queen than I would have to change my world view and no longer choose the rose colored glasses of disdain and derision.

If I knew the difference between small government and large government then I would have to know something about any government….I would have to know something about the checks and balances of honest to goodness real world power…..I would have to not sell my soul to the big strong powers that I longed for in my sleep.
