It is very nice to be too big to fail. It is a comforting thing to know that one has achieved a stature and an accession to power that makes ones survival vital to the interests of millions whether or not those millions like or benefit by ones actions.

Its very nice to be too big to fail. Too big to fail and you can dictate terms, dictate agendas, frame policy, run the world. Too big to fail and you have permanent protection from rivals and enemies….you have a stranglehold and a fear factor to use. You have intimidation to muster, favors to hand out. Size may be desirable to stave off encroaching competition but that competition is just a rival for more control over the powers you control. Your size offers self protection, not protection for those over whom you lord power and control of futures.

Monopoly is the end point of unfettered capitalism. Monopoly means the end of forces that can put checks upon those who strive to be great. They win. Their power need serve none but themselves. Why promote the easy paths for those of extreme wealth and power to amass more extreme wealth and power. Power does corrupt……absolute power does tend to corrupt absolutely. Why do we celebrate the openings to such outcomes. Stifling power is not stifling competition or the pursuits of productive capitalists.

Why is it that some trust government and others do not. Why is it that some trust business and others do not. Do both sets of innocents wear the same consummate sets of blinders trumpeting the idea of the functioning god father. All such daydreams outstrip and out trump all reality.

All government, all business, all labor, all wealth … all pillars of grand civilization, go bad and abuse the lovely powers they attain. This is not a new concept. It is a hardly revolutionary concept. All roads to all hells are paved somewhere, somehow with some dreamers damned good intentions. Pure hearts and gentle people love to work for the public good. They sell their wares and stories color them worthy.

Trust is a luxury few can afford. There seems a grand lack of critical thinking afoot in the public arena these days. We have agendas, wants, dreams, hates, lusts, kill good pap. Trust is the luxury few can afford and the righteous proponents of grand schemes and holy hells smile at the thought of corruption. Its our corruption, they say. It may be deadly and smell bad but its our deadly and our smell. Corruption inbred is never an issue and all ways to nirvana are scams. All who trust their own purity are flawed from the start. all who trust their damned gods are broken flocks and open to be flayed.

Afflict the comfortable. Comfort the afflicted. An old journalistic maxim with the prisms of today’s general journeys into darkness throws on its ear, into the pits of hell, staunchly making it a target for primitive species every where.

With a bias towards the mighty and mighty, the powerful and the grasping popular segments of the free society see erstwhile hedonists, communists, swamp swine and other morally unnecessary heathen in those who would have sympathy for a sentiment so demeaning to achievement, a place in the pecking order, the comforts of their masters.

With a bias against the achieving, ruling classes, those who achieve power n general there are those who see sin, avarice, gluttony always there to behold n to skewer. There is unearned bounty to covet and use.

The conundrum of selective virtue.

A neat little bias towards order and societal structure holds well for those with paths to horizons acceptable in their minds eye and in their true hearts. A neat little bias towards order and societal structure holds well with those who hate the poor and disenfranchised.

A comfortable bias towards society’s afflicted holds well for those who see all afflictions as terminal or deadly diseases offering no reasonable help of cure. It is not always easy to distinguish.

Able and fat, sustainable and surviving….at what point is a desire to comfort the afflicted thrown out of the equations of public policy, economic policy, public morality, public virtue, public hate? At what point do we start to eat our young?

Money. Money. Money. Good time spenders. Bad time spenders. Secret spenders. Heavenly spenders. Sinister, evil manipulative spenders. Government bought and paid for. Voters bought and paid for. Politicos bought and paid for. Imitations of real life problems bought and paid for.

We have the structures of systems used, mused and abused. We have office seekers who can’t file papers unless they get patron saints and holy redeemers. We have to pay for the muscle of clearing out challenges, challengers. We have to pay for the dirt machines, the sex machines, the glitch and glitter machines, the trips to downward hell machines. We have to pay for intimidation, fear, loss, reputation smashing, sustenance threatening, safety ensuring angels of the better natures of those who like what they like, break what they break. We have to pay for hell in a hand basket and we have to smile and like it….we the powerless, products bought and paid for, are products for sale or for the taking. Rotten smells rotten, bad….it can be questioned. Intimidation hurts rotten, bad …it can be felt. Power hungry bastards can be smelled, divined…they smell. The propaganda campaigns and fast and easy messaging of propaganda campaigns and fast and easy messaging can be seen for what they are, the paths to the roots of our rootless souls …they can be seen if we have the guts.

Get bought when you can get bought. Smart money finds other ways to corrupt when the current ones are ineffectual. That spot in between is an flared opening … a sweet spot for those of the redemptive mind. May it, the sweet spot, ever live in moody shadows skewered by contempt and laziness. There is no fun without dirty games in play.

It has oft been stated that the functioning democracy is the best of all possible political systems not because, in itself, it is so wonderful and magnanimous but, as has been said, it is the worst of systems save all of the others….when it goes bad, as is often the case, the functioning democracy has the potential to harm the least amount of people and prop up comparative whole classes of nascent winners rather than the few killers left to other cherished dysfunctional systems….this, its major recommendation…it makes more thieves, thugs and idiots happy of, in their own volition rather than just becoming happy through being at the wrong end of the barrel of a gun,

In our sterling world of today we test and love these equations, these forms greatly. We ponder and pander and kneel with pleasure. We make craven images of the sufficiently lame, sufficiently unthoughtful, sufficiently hate driven, ideologically driven folks that we can muster up out of the grimy muck. We worship the sprints to the bottom of all of the piles of sufficiently unvirtuous speech and impractical minds. We revel in the palatable raw pure eviscerating emotions of the frenzied driven sycophants and psychopaths, hustlers and pimps who are able to dream the dreams of base intimidation and exceptional force. We worship all rancid muscle…the grace of mud wrestling heroes to adorn and adore.

In political and historical genius we function well in the defense of the safety nets of mass delusion and incompetence.

I go often through the parts of some cities that are not as economically viable as others . I see people, children, faces. I see workers, strollers, commuters…city life. It is what it is and my elucidation adds nothing to the pictures extant in the public mind.

For the sake of argument I will take the extreme position that not all of whom I see are ones who deserve the fate of not living more better and that not all uf whom I see deserve the fate of the free sanding scorn heaped upon those not able enough to contribute to the coffers of those who despise the under classes…… the drag on the system of growth and sustainability that they are. Were it not for the fact that they contribute canon fodder for warfare they would serve no purpose what so ever.

Those who look but do not see are dumb enough. Those who see the scripts only manufactured for them by the charming demons of their natures are worse yet.

Class warfare is a foolish term when knowledge dictates classes should be fixed and that classes wishing something elas are pretenders and disrupters.

It is about power structure, stupid, Power, freedom of movement and discourse for those who wish it, have it, own it, manipulate it. They follow the laws of human nature as we know it and we allow them to maximize their proclivities…….anything that lessens access to wealth, power, control is un American and the America they have sold those who have sold their souls for a false image of belonging to their fraternity….the willing pawns of the dumb set enjoy sharing the same villains. That is their pay off. The reflected glory of the clinched fist.

Small government. Big Government. Public money. Private money. People starving. People not starving. Helping a neighbor out of the goodness of ones heart. Helping a neighbor out of the largess of public policy. Spending for this. Spending for that. Buying this. Buying that. Demand for goods. Demand for services. Satisfying demand. Nurturing demand.

In the end that for which there is demand for gets dealt with. That for which there is demand for gets approached and , with varying degrees of success, gets attention. In the end the efficiencies of the market work extremely well where they work extremely well. The grand public panorama of effective government handles things that are beyond the scope of capitalist incentive….beyond the vagueries and whims of the decision makers and power brokers in a competitive market place.

Safety nets in society bind us together. Mass poverty and illness are in no ones interest save those who envision a different world…..one of only corporate sanctioned winners.

In the end there are rational, common sense needs of a civilized world. There are rational, civilized needs for checks and balances, protections from those who may act in their own best interests in no others. There are lines that should never be crossed when seeking a just and fair world. There are certain truths that are implied in the social contract of any society…..change those truths and the society is no longer a harmonic whole.

In the end, if there is a common purpose and a common identity and common interests things sorted out come from the same pie…….You pay one way or the other. In the end the viscous battle are between those who wish the power to dictate.

We all love the hard charging bastions of faith and practitioners of principle. Those of principle are hard to find….they are special and they need to be encouraged to keep their purity. It matters not whether or not their principles are well thought out, are the results of deep soul searching and a quest for understanding and enlightenment…principles are sacred and principles are what defines a true, honest man or woman of special ethical rank and privilege. It a principled thing to be principled.

When dealing with principles it is never right to question motives or analysis. It must be taken as rote that the true premises upon which the edifices of and towers of certain integral truths are built are premises worth having, worth promoting, worth seeking to use to enslave others not so enlightened. It is impolitic and impolite to mention that many monsters of history were also true to their principles…except, sadly, those principles didn’t do well by their many unfortunates in opposition.

In vaunted democracy is it principled to honor the dictates of conflicting ideas working their way through the scrutinies of time and effort or is it principled to declare oneself the messiah of thoughts who knows well enough the dictates of God and hell….. who knows well enough that the principles of ones adversaries are spawns of a corrupting devil.

Our true principled wonders…our new saviors everywhere of grand and rancid morality…… sell always the sizzle not the steak…. sell the holiness, not the idea. Who could argue with principled martyrs? Another last bastion of worthless scoundrels.

Everyone hate the government and those who govern. All would send them packing and then pick a new set of stooges to sing and dance for fun and amusement. And these songs would be better. These dances would be flashier. These folk would be more responsive and more deeply in tune with the democratic governing principles of our hallowed land. And all would be happy. And all would be thrilled. And all would have the experience of political ecstasy for the new bums in place would not be the problem and the long line of cookie cutter followers they represent would just take the place of those who had gone before.

What in Gods name makes anyone think that a different mix of cow can come to fore and chew any differently, blankly stare any differently, give the world an excess of methane gas in any different manner. What gets taken seriously gets taken seriously. What sells sells. What seduces seduces. What bludgeons bludgeons. Hallowed points made by stars luminescent are what there is. Excuses for statesmen, stateswomen are the mold of what the stork wants, what the pretty boys and pretty girls want, what the bats in the belfry want. What seduces seduces, what makes all little hearts flutter over and over again makes all little hearts flutter over and over again. The sun don’t shine in any different places than it did before. The rain still gropes the land
