My anger is angrier than your anger. My hurts are more hurting than your hurts. My pain is more painful than your pain…… A grand race to martyrdom swinging and slinging along is now our daily bread. concentrate upon real frustrations and real inequities, real imbalances of real power, real dangers to the survival of real people and real lives if you will but you then are a dumb lummox who just doesn’t get the uses of protest.

Someone special has to take ownership of the greater pain, the truer pain, the more real frustration, the more honest delineation of vile offenders of human kind. Someone special has to take ownership of brand, be the true blue and only real brand, sell the true and only all in one miracle elixir and remedy for all that ails.

How these things stay real…. no more players seeking power for power’s sake, tears for tears sake. All little protest movements are ripe for the pickings, ripe for the co-opting, ripe for the using and abusing.

Those in pain choose to respect the pain of others. Its the pain that matters, not the game. Never are there calculating bastards ready to wring out the doctrine of true social ills and homey misery. What other good does protest offer? Give wily bastards a nice little tool to use to skin more suckers. Bless the beasts and the children.

One side of the venal political spectrum calls out the other side for essentially doing and using the same sets of tactics and charms that they have done. The other side of the venal political spectrum calls out the other side for being the wretched refuse of the earth, for essentially working a surely foreseen push back against stupendous efforts done by their own little side on behalf of life, liberty and the American way. Venal barkers and mouthy pols rejoice in the opportunities to label as evil and demented the actions of those whose tactics they will surely use if convenience hits and hits of money and/ or power beckons. Hypocrisy is effort, king, tool, game, image, mark of honor amongst those who are gods warriors and the devils enemies.

Tactic. Trumpet. Pay for play. A bow to masters that own them…… grown men and women have no shame, have no honor, have no backbone, have no guts when it comes to polluting the air and the world with their sycophantic licks and their red meat lunges. All is in defense of eternal political war. All is in defense of power grabs, of the kill, of the breaking of political and financial enemies all deemed too devious to be left to survive. The game is the thing. Pollution is the thing. Power is the thing. The selling of souls is the thing. They bore us and snow us. They rip us and fleece us. They show us the way to small men and women working hard at being small men and women. They remake their worlds in the images of themselves. Small,ugly. shriveled imitations of human souls.

Right, left, in between. The mouthers and the talkers and the true believers should never be surprised that sometime, somewhere, some way, some how when they go and go and call out someone over and over and over again that that someone, something, some body, some wimp just might get up off of the carpet of defensive victimhood and strike back.

Prodded, angled , used, abused for political gain or extinction, deep sleeping force should sometimes be left deep and fat and in hibernation. Arrogance leads to overestimated strength time and time again. Demonize folk long enough, attack their beliefs hard enough, denigrate their survival cold enough and crying in your beer doesn’t cut it when they don’t like it any more.

Its not an easy world we live in. Mouthers have the protections of laws and society until they don’t and until they miscalculate the wonderfulness of themselves. Tough times make tough enemies and hard assed times make hard assed enemies. Pendulums always swing. The mouthers who feel good when they have their season in the sun had better not push the damned pendulum too damned hard. The recoil can cut off their heads.

Rat bastards and sultry party girls know public interest. Deficient lay persons come awash with scandal and comprehension. The thoughts of the fates are the stuff of legend while public minds and group clouds make definitive statements. Right thinking wonders are never astray while cogent minds contemplate their navels and grovel at the feet of those who know better.

Parity. Fairness. Xenophobia. Heartfelt compassion. Good people all with thin skins. The world is not an easy place. The whining of poor babies echoes loudly from here to the Martian sunrise. The stiff cries of hold my hand are deafening…..and often time a counter weight.

Ideas rip the blood of bad actors of no repute and aria singers of no legend. Unorthodox hard edged filters of desperation protect us from the no nonsense void. Life churns. The humble ruminate. The grand reflect. The rooted sincere have no idle moments. We all draw pretty pictures.

A pauper’s joy for the demeaning, the demonizing. A sultry singer’s bow for the self important. Too much the liberalizing efforts of the universal comforters. The store gets given away to those who work it not.

The fierce battles rage on. The rights of the group and the membership therein. Membership is a thing open to passions and reasons and fears and such. The melting pot of old does not always melt. It does not always blend. It is at mercy to the ingredients in the stew and the stew often has uncooperative parts, the main ingredients rancid, the diced additives being not of a combining kind.

Staunch defenders of the faith are oftentimes staunch defenders of the faith. The non narrow us is the over ripe other, the suckers who sees too little too late, too much too often.

Battlegrounds. Power is often to save face and place, often a trip for the hard relentless. The power… never diffuse it, challenge it, break it. Break only enemy thine.

Cohesion not when there are prizes to be won, sacred cows to be hidden, ridden, loved for the hate engendered. Thugs can marshal the forces of the club…bring harm and grief… trump peace and joy and love and understanding. For any and all good peace the thugs have to be noble thugs. We grow only noble thugs here. Any and all good peace … good sick comedy and toxic lame.

So the gets are gotten. The world is ours. There is the surging march of the gentle tides of gentle history… the light of shining dreams and happy diversions, the constant light, the complacent light. Happiness fulfilled. Society successful. Values given…. values given the toys of the boys, whirls of the girls, the piece and prosperity of a great nation.

Let the workers and the hardy beware. Let the stern and the staunch beware. The right way to go about the right things is always the right way. The earnestness with which to pursue earnest goals is the true earnestness. Dream the dream. It is a good dream. It is not a dream worth waking from. It is a sturdy little dream. It stands for all goodly things. It is a lustful dream full of lust for the good, lust for the right, lust for the true. It the saving dream of those who serve.

A compact little dream this . A compact little dream factory of a compact little dream this. A dreamers little dreamy dream. A dream. The lucky little residue ours.

An honored place this little piece of heaven ours. Of respect, of standing, of aspiration, of good aspiration. A meaningful endeavor, a meaningful haunt. This portrait of achievement, our heroes, our fierce nation bows its head with respect.

The sun has given us a grand bounty of good men and women. Nature has given us the legacy of honest men. We sit atop a bastion of a prize of working, sincere souls offering their all with the honor and decency of soldiers on the fields of battle.

There are only good and noble dreams walking. There is only our belated success. We have now a governing coalition of the wise, the responsible, the charitable, the true. We, in our rests, know ourselves to be in the grand hands of the competent. Warm and fuzzy are our thoughts and comforts as we curl in our repose.

We can best be protected from extreme evil in the political sphere by spreading around power as much as possible. The philosopher king or the wise council of elders may be, in their pure forms, the most admirable and efficient forms of governance. They may bring the best of virtue, vision, majesty, bearing and trust. These forms may be the abject model of all seekers of wisdom and truth, all seekers of greater, better existence for greater, better political entities, systems, states, facts. Wisdom and virtue flow undiluted, unfragmented from implementer. Implementation is a dream..

Virtues in these epochs of rule are great but as it is with all such things the templates always seem to have equal and opposite flip sides. The greater good is matched by the greater evil and in real terms governance is best served when as a staunch representative of protection from harm. The positive is as a bonus…an unexpected bonus of maturity and purpose, reflection and wisdom…that which when it comes… survives…leaves hope.

This is as close to safety we can come to in a world dependent upon the rational and irrational hates and passions of the bubbling classes. Passion has its virtues…and its price.

In these aspects and respects…we crave our loved version of mass influence…our republic…our democracy. All done well, good may prosper, right may flourish, balance may be achieved. All done not so well…most of the mob survives the long knives, the hounds, the wolves, the cuts and the destruction.

Politics is kick ass and dangerous, armed and dangerous, dangerous and dangerous. Grateful we are for what we see as the limits to the mass dangers we face, in the forms of the base outcomes we can endure. We bless the phlegmatic, the powerless, the resigned and the the facts of livable survival. Seeking the better and the good is always the fools errand of the naive known to the knowing and the wise.

Are you a good little political operative who cares for the honor in your profession and the true stature of your candidate? the nature of your candidate? Are you a political operative who with honor true character unimpeachable and of the type and stripe that is immune to personal corruption?
