Our measly everyday incentives to be part of our measly everyday universe, system of laws, grievances, systems of crime and punishment, of behavior modifications, of carrots and sticks, truths too dirty to accept and appreciate, fears too deep to delve into , players and posts too intrenched to move.

What are our measly everyday incentives to be part of a long line of custom and practice, intimidations and rewards, false image and true belief, incentives to hate, incentives to gather around the tribal camp fire?

What are our measly everyday incentives to be of the grand melting pot that is the legend and rapture of a culture that preys upon divergence, mines diversity, wishes no inbreeding, feels for the loss of pride in an American nation?

What are our measly incentives to be part of a tomorrow that promises no reward, less definition, that promises serfdom and boots upon the neck, glorious, pompous usurpers and destroyers of law, of sovereignty?

What are our measly everyday incentives to be part of it all, the pageantry, the show, the showcase, the fury, the storms, the songs, the sirens? What are our measly everyday incentives to be part of the world around us as it floats and goes its merry way? What are our incentives to survive and act and move and fold? Other than bodily survival, fear, loss of identity, loss of compass, fear of chaos, fear of self, emptiness of choice, desperation in hearts of hearts. The grand hammer makes for good incentive.

The fawners, the owners, the players, the breakers, the slayers, the smart have no such incentives. Citizens of their mobility, they are, citizens of their freedom from want, freedom from jurisdiction. The gods they cherish are the gods of insulation, access to force, power vacuum, power, flunkies , hired muscle. Bless the basis of their place and position. Rules are for those stuck under the umbrellas of fantasies.

Honor does indeed make the world go round. Sentimental and teary eyed gents and ladies with love of country, love of flag, of truth, justice, the American way love freedom, democracy above all things politic, above all things holier than thou.

Scratch them, do they not bleed the reddest of blood. Pressure them, do they not sing the truest of songs, the most patriotic of fervor, the highest of high minded principle. Follow them and you not get trips through nether lands of staunch virtuous pillaging of the trolls of decrepit immorality and the black thoughts of ugly existence.

Time and distance and startling dimension know callings noble and aims true as the truest arrow and as pure as the purest of maidens. Time and distance are with the noble.

Vultures of darkness and enemies of the human spirit may descend upon the earth to do devilish deeds but those of pristine honor are always there to defend the franchise and to defend the causes of solemn right against the encroachments of corruption.

The world of freedom and democracy we have. No fixed voting, voting districts. No rigged candidates or rigged insurgents able to corrupt process and run the games of false choice for ever disenfranchised onlookers. No lack of access to the pittance of pleading and wheedling needed get help with the to intimidation and burying of the suckers who have no friends in friendly places.

Our heroes live and love. In the precious swamp of their derision they understand that order is the important thing and that a control of the process is control of order and that they are the last best defense against chaos and confusion.

Lip service in defense of needed order, lip service in defense lack of uncertainty, lip service in defense of the temples of natural selection are not vice. This is the virtue of those who are deft. It is to those who play the game we owe our allegiance.

Is it of honor we speak? Is it of honor we have any concern what so ever? Is it of past loves and illusions we reference when we beg to pivot in our thoughts and see honor as a concept or a term of some or any validity in our amoral universe?

Is it of honor that we have a concern or a dream or a faded photograph of when honorable men walked the earth and their honor was a sought after virtue as opposed to a light of derision for the ill suited climbers who see victory at rancidness to be the highest of callings and the surest way to the emotional and material riches that come to those who are in tune with the knowing and the serene.

Is it of honor we dream when we are told again and again that the staunch will not flee and the unthinking will not bend as they substitute the dishonor of ideology for the pain of thought?

Is it for honor we yearn when those of the political sphere see their own private wars as that which is the only thing that is in the arena and that their own little definitions of politics are the only little way to the only little thing things that power and government have to offer …. and to share. Politics is the way to ungodly power for the ungodly saints. It is death for sinners.

There is, alas, no nuance in lack of honor only deft slogans for deft folk…slogans to sell slogans to sell oneself. There is always motive, belief, agenda, fire. There is always cynicism and greed. There is the illusion of purpose and the illusion of sincerity always put out by those who show no moral compass save adolescent thought and motive. There is the mantra of simplicity and the rage of futility. There are those who are always poised to ride the crest and to ride the wave. There are always those ready to launch tirades, invective, nonsense as worth and to paint pictures of grand holy warriors as the most furtive and justifiable of wanderers. Honor, then. is the conquest of the dragon…our self defined, self inflated dragon pink and dragon scary. Mailable and all purposed all, on their chargers, all, the saviors of humanity and the heroes of their minds. Or just the cynical tramps of their hearts.

The go getters want to go and get. The go getters want to camp in the camping grounds of those who’ve gone and got. They want to charge up the hills of glory and reflected glory and throw their lots in with the canny and wise, the achievers, doers, job creators, wealth creators….. the hard working salt of the earth types who roll up their sleeves and build better worlds and make society a growing vibrant place…..That is what they wish to do. A growing vibrant place is what they want.

The lazy idle and irredeemably intellectual snobbish wish to see the wealth of nations squandered on the lame and the halt and they wish to see the drive for innovation, creativity, risk, action, drama sucked out of everyday life so that all that is left are passionless drones who are the broad bland degenerate useless.

Those who seek redress of problems and bad ways know that they can petition a stagnant government only far too happy to answers to the needs of the afflicted and uncomfortable….that is what governments do…. that is what they are for.

Those wishing honest ascension to the places open to the making their mark, the doing of their wants, the breaking their enemies know that government is the enclave of those who support it, own it, pay for it, structure it, and that the good support of power should yield either the rewards of help or the rewards of no hindrance.

All of our power seekers let go and let alone know where and when to stop, know where and when to pull back and not conquer or break, know whom to hurt, whom not to hurt, whom to care nothing about. What collection of diddling fools need interest groups to speak truth to power, to speak muscle to power unchained, to intimidate the intimidators….the put upon care not who their masters are…. the bells and banjos of political and economic practice, discourse, fodder, talk, philosophy mean a mother load of nothing if the only thing able to be trusted is that whichever bastards gain the upper hand…they are the bastards that will screw you.

Respect for power. Respect for checks on power. Respect for survival of the fit. Respect for being brothers keeper….its so damned complicated. Better to just screw the one your with.

So you hate your congressperson. So congress is terminally flawed and irredeemably flatulent. So the winds of wonder never touch down when those in congress choose to make it out of their draconian dens and their edifices of rubble. So the sun never shines where they trundle and the quality of life on earth only spirals downward whenever and wherever they open their mouths and try not to be too transparently soulless.

So they’re all vile and evil and laughable and psychically, morally, intellectually bankrupt. So when they do anything but stand in the way of opportunity growth, sense, reason, spirit they foam at the mouth and pass rabies to all with whom thy come in contact.

Flay them. Slay them. Admonish them. Make them oafs of derision. Hammer them. Waltz with them. Club them. They will not die. The will go on and on and on forever. Forever and a day. And the day after that. They will be eternal. The beasts who will not die. The beasts who will not melt. The beasts who will keep coming and coming and groping and groping.

How in hell are you going to get rid of them. It ain’t in the script. It ain’t in the picture. Monsters never die. They have better tricks and better agents than you do.

We have the morally decrepit and the ideologically pure. We have those without a brain and those with brains eaten away by the dry rot of misuse, of fear, of pirouetting synapse, mortgaged souls. We have the galloping thinkers who have their agendas and points of view force fed to them daily from those who would tacitly pull their strings as long as their vile grease can be handled without infection. Get too close and we have bio hazard.

We have the inveterate liars, the inveterate fools, the cunning schemers, the venal sneering snakes, the good fellows and the proud cowpokes.

We have the orgasmically challenged who look for their fixes in the lengths and depths of the bile they eat and the flies they catch with their tongues.

Our governing and screaming hero class.

We have the spinsters, the haters, the attention seekers, the frauds, the muggers, the pimps, the gangsters, the degenerate prostitutes, the intimidators, the neo fascists, the owners, the breakers, the showmen and those made of putrid mist.

We have our tethers of moral rectitude and character.

We have the song birds singing for their supper and ruing ours. We have our stars and fairy god mothers and god fathers, We have none of backbone, courage, independent thought, critical thinking, scientific method. We have our unincentified menagerie of players who do what they do and are what they are as the sirens they hear are the sirens they love…. sinister sirens keeping them dull, corrupt, closed minded, power hungry, without honor, without souls, without a care in the natural world. A good god damn rational notion of governance is a good gad damned pestilence and breeding ground for traitors.

We have those who answer to their fawners, owners, intimidators, back breakers, absence of thought police. We have our proud soldiers of the lord who have no reason to be any different. God has made them special people in a special world.

Poor poor American public. Talking, speaking, listening, dialoguing, trying so hard to find a satisfactory common ground upon which all can rest weary heads.

Poor poor American public. Trying to grow and prosper and defend and educate, trying to tolerate and obfuscate and derail and incubate. A legion of ideals, fabrications, factions, factors, dim lights, messianic hoaxes, hardened criminals and simpering bottom feeders. We come from every which where and we melt together in the great melting pot of rough grub and half baked plaster.

Poor poor American public. Stimulating essentials of sovereign virtue, stimulating essentials of urban legends and tooth fairies and Halloween ghosts and venal goblins. Pictures of racks for punishment and spears for flaying dance magically in the fires of sensuous passions and kneeled at deference that define the worlds we wish for and the worlds we wish our future generations. The magic dragons of puffery and cynicism circle aimlessly as we all see through the prisms of choice the structured worlds of what ought to be.

Uneasy lies the heart that sees a world at odds with the perfection of true right and goodness that the visions of the vision fairies deem to grant us in our hours of yearning. The spectrum, the sliding scale, the integral proportion of wealth and power, force and deference….oh where oh where can we go? Where oh where can we find the solace of vision and the comfort of quest that we wholesomely deserve?

All inclusive are we. A world of aristocracy. A world of plutocracy, of meritocracy, of politically and morally correct? A world of structured class and each in his or her place. A world of simple and constant and ferocious dreams, wants, divides, fantasies, sets, set ups. What do we aim for? Who do we bury? What looks good in the mirror? What is the delineation of place and time? What is our shared vision? What is that vague mist of folly and smoke? Why is there the love of all mankind and simpering fools as their brothers’ keepers?
